about

Lunar Eclipse originally began taking form in a basement studio in Encinitas, CA in 2010, with plans to create a video to go with it. For reasons not remembered, the project was shelved until April 2020 during the COVID-19 stay-at-home era. With ample time on their hands Troy and Tim were digging in their archives to see if they had any projects that they could finish up and release. The original rough mix for this track was found but it was not yet fully complete and unfortunately the original recording files were missing. So Tim set about recreating the track. The original was in the key of F#m. It is presented now in the key of B Minor. This is because Troy no longer owns an F# didgeridoo.

Recording, programming and mixing took place between April 12th and 16th. Troy's custom built didgeridoo was recorded by him at his home studio in Encinitas using a Zoom H5 recorder. Tim's guitars were recorded at his home studio in Haiku, HI. The two panned guitar tracks are Tim's custom built telecaster with effects from a Fractal Audio FX8 MkII. The lead guitar is his custom built stratocaster with a Foxrox Festival Overdrive and a Malekko Ekko 616 analog delay. All of the guitar parts went into a Quilter Micropro Mach 2 amplifier and were recorded using the amp's direct out into a Universal Audio Apollo X8P. The recording, programming, editing and mixing were all done using Universal Audio's brand new Luna recording software.

Kick back and enjoy this new tune from Flood Page. Their first new music offering in almost 8 years!
